BNP Paribas AM hires head of low carbon infrastructure equity

Brumm has more than 20 years’ experience in infrastructure private equity and joins BNPP AM after spending three years as a partner at Antin Infrastructure Partners.

He will lead the Low Carbon Infrastructure Equity strategy, set to be launched at the beginning of 2024, which will invest in low-carbon infrastructure projects in Europe via the acquisition of minority stakes in companies within energy transition-related sectors.

Brumm has more than 20 years' experience in infrastructure private equity and joins BNPP AM after spending three years as a partner at Antin Infrastructure Partners. He has also held roles at UBS, NextWorld Evergreen and Ardian.

Brumm will report to Karen Azoulay, head of real assets within BNPP AM's private assets division, and will be joined by Frédéric Guiraudios, who is moving across from BNP Paribas Corporate and Institutional Banking, where he spent 20 years working on M&A, most recently as managing director.

Azoulay said: «The appointments of Rodolphe and Frédéric further strengthen the infrastructure franchise within our private assets investment division at a time when client demand for this asset class continues to grow and the need for investments, particularly low-carbon investments, is considerable.

»The new Low Carbon Infrastructure Equity strategy will be based on the central positioning of the entire BNP Paribas Group within the financing of the energy and low-carbon transition."
