The threat was reported at 5:35 AM. Quick Response Teams (QRT) reached the scene promptly. All passengers were safely evacuated through the emergency exits. The flight is now under inspection, as confirmed by the Delhi Fire Service.
An aviation security official at the scene reported that the IndiGo crew found a note with the word «bomb» written on it in the aircraft's lavatory before takeoff.
Flight 6E2211 was scheduled to depart from Delhi's Indira Gandhi Airport around 5 am.
