Red Door has beaten Harrison Ford’s swan song Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, taking it to second place with a $26.5 million second weekend. Red Door also boasts of the best opening for a PG-13 horror movie post-lockdown. Sony/Marvel film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, also beat Disney/Marvel film Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3 as the highest-grossing movie of the summer, $357.6 million to $357.5 million. Insidious: The Red Door has the cast of the original film, including Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Ty Simpkins, Leigh Whannell and Lin Shaye, with direction by Wilson as his debut.
