It is followed by 'All of Us Strangers' with 14 nods and Molly Manning Walker’s 'How to Have Sex' with 13 nominations. Sam H. Freeman and Ng Choon Ping’s 'Femme' has 11 and Mahalia Belo's 'The End We Start From' has nine nominations for the BIFA.
Gender-neutral awards
Awards for the acting category have been made gender-neutral. The traditional Best and Supporting Actress and Actor awards have been replaced by Best Lead Performance, Best Supporting Performance, Best Joint Lead Performance.
