Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 free trial period has been activated by Activision but a certain playtime restriction has generated dissatisfaction within the gaming community. Activision recently unveiled a multiplayer free access trial for Modern Warfare 2, scheduled to run from September 13 to September 20. During this trial, players can enjoy 10 6v6 maps, which include the two latest additions from Season 5 Reloaded, along with two battle maps.
However, there's a significant caveat attached to this free trial. Despite its seven-day duration, players are constrained to a maximum of 2.5 in-game hours.
In contrast to previous Call of Duty releases, the developers have implemented an incentive for players to remain engaged with Modern Warfare 2 until the end. Typically, when a new installment in the series is launched, the weapon progression from the previous game doesn't carry over.
However, Modern Warfare 3 introduces a feature called «Carry Forward», which enables the transfer of weapon progression, operator skins, and weapon blueprints from Modern Warfare 2 to Modern Warfare 3. With over 55 guns to level up, some players still have a substantial amount of work to complete before the worldwide release of MW3 on November 10, 2023.
