Cardi B found herself confronting a fan who threw a drink at her on stage during a performance in Las Vegas. The incident prompted a swift reaction from the «WAP» rapper, as she fiercely hurled her microphone back at the attacker. Subsequently, the fan filed a police report for battery.
However, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department revealed that no arrests or citations were made in connection with the incident. A video capturing the moment went viral on social media, showing Cardi B's rapid response when the concertgoer tossed the contents of a large white cup at her, splashing her face and soaking her orange swimsuit cover-up while she was performing her chart-topping hit «Bodak Yellow.» The rapper scolded the individual, and security intervened, retrieving her microphone and seemingly escorting the fan away from the outdoor show at Drai's Beachclub in Las Vegas. The video quickly amassed a staggering 68 million views and counting.
The 30-year-old rapper later retweeted another video of the altercation shared by a fan account. At present, there is no official statement from her representative regarding the incident. Sadly, Cardi B is not the only artist to have faced attacks from audience members.
Recently, a man was charged with assault after striking pop singer Bebe Rexha with a phone during her performance. Additionally, dance-pop singer Ava Max was slapped by an audience member at a concert in June, resulting in an eye injury. Similar incidents occurred involving artists such as Kelsea Ballerini, who had a bracelet thrown at her, Pink, who had a bag of human ashes tossed her way, and Lil Nas X, who was targeted by an object.
