While heavyweights like Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Savilla are interested to know their opponents so that they can chalk out their strategy, newbies like Union Berlin, Newcastle United, and Lens will begin the preparation for the European adventure once the draw takes place.
The draw for UEFA Champions League 2023-24 will be held at 5 pm (BST) or 12 noon (ET) on Thursday, August 31 at Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. It will take place a day after the preliminary round of Champions League qualifying is held.

While 26 teams get direct entry, six teams are selected based on their qualifying victories. All teams are kept in four pots from which they are selected randomly into eight groups. Two teams from the same sporting association will not be put in the same group. The UEFA has already announced the seeding for the Champions League 2023 group stage draw.
Pot 1
Pot 1 contains Manchester City, Napoli, Barcelona, Sevilla, Munich Munchen, Paris Saint Germain, Benfica and Feyenoord.
Pot 2
In pot 2 we have Arsenal, Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, RB Leipzig, Porto, and Real Madrid.
Pot 3
Pot 3 has Shakhtar Donetsk, Salzburg, AC Milan, Lazio, Red Star Belgrade, Real Sociedad.
Besides Union Berlin, Lens and the other six teams will be in pot 4.
The group stage of the Champions League will kick off on September 19.
