startups and investors in the spacetech sector had top management and staff huddle together and cheer India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission as the country’s national space agency, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), landed its rover Vikram on the moon.
India is the first country to achieve a south-pole landing on the moon.
“India is on the moon! A true testament of ISROs capabilities and India as a builder of technology for the world and beyond. A pivotal moment for India and its next phase of space odyssey and helping humanity,” Speciale Invest managing partner Vishesh Rajaram told ET.
Rajaram added that the soft landing was an inspirational moment for the deeptech- and spacetech-focussed venture capital firm as well as other young startups in the space, to build from India for the world.
Pixxel founder and CEO Awais Ahmed took to Twitter to share a video of his team cheering on.
“This marks a pivotal moment for both the Indian Space ecosystem and the global space community.
