
Chennai Super Kings: Dhoni retained; team drops eight players. Check full list here
IPL are announcing the players they will be retaining, trading or releasing.
The deadline for trading is November 29 and the auction will be conducted on December 19 in Dubai. This is the first time that the auction will be conducted abroad.
Chennai Super Kings, one of the most successful teams of IPL has announced the list of players they are dropping to expand their reserve ahead of auction. CSK had lifted the cup of last year's tournament.
List of players dropped:
- Ben Stokes
- Dwaine Pretorius
- Ambati Rayudu
- Kyle Jamieson
- Sisanda Magala
- Akash Singh
- Bhagath Varma
- Subhranshu Senapati
Ahead of the retention day, CSK announced Stokes' decision to drop out of IPL 2024 to focus on his fitness and workload after the ICC World Cup 2023.
This means that CSK has Rs 32.2 crore in its purse to purchase players in the auction. It has released eight players. It currently has six slots open out of which, three are for overseas players.
