Danelo Cavalcante, who fled a prison in the state. The search was intensified on the sixth day of his escape after he was captured on a trail camera at a popular botanic garden. Cavalcante escaped from the Chester County Prison on Thursday when he was waiting to be shifted to a state facility. Security at Longwood Gardens told investigators that a camera captured Cavalcante walking north and then to the south in a popular botanic garden. The photo showed that Cavalcante was carrying a backpack and a duffel bag. The Unionville-Chadds Ford School District and the Kennett Consolidated School District in Chester County canceled their classes after the perimeter of the manhunt was increased.
According to the Chester County District Attorney's Office, Cavalcante was captured on Saturday on a residential surveillance camera about a mile and a half from the prison. He was seen with a backpack. Meanwhile, the authorities have played on the public address system the recording of an appeal made by Cavalcante’s mother in Portuguese. The authorities have announced a reward of $10,000 for any information that may lead to the arrest of the convict.
