FDA inspecting product batches for possible contamination

According to the recall statement with the FDA, the federal body is currently using whole genome sequencing technology to determine if the product sample of the whole cucumbers was related to the current Salmonella outbreak incident or not.

The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture initially alerted Fresh Start Produce Sales Inc, around the salmonella presence in its products after a product sample tested positive for the gram-negative bacteria, that can cause severe diseases in the human body.
