Apart from Odisha, IMD has also predicted light to moderate rainfall at many places with isolated heavy rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning & gusty winds very likely over Kerala on 23rd October. According to the latest IMD forecast, the coastal districts of West Bengal is also likely to receive moderate showers on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The weather forecasting agency issued a yellow watch in major districts of West Bengal like Howrah and Hoogly on Tuesday. As per IMD, light to moderate rainfall at most places is likely on 23rd and 24 October while isolated heavy rainfall over coastal areas of West Bengal on 24th October. Apart from this, the North eastern states will also receive heavy rains.
As per IMD, isolated heavy rainfall has been predicted over Mizoram and heavy to very rainfall over Tripura is likely on 23rd and 24th October. The IMD has also predicted isolated heavy rainfall over the same region on 25th October. It added that the rainfall intensity will decrease on 26th October with light to moderate rainfall at a few places over the region.
The weather department has also predicted light to moderate rainfall at many places over south Assam and eastern Meghalaya on 24th and 25th October with isolated heavy rainfall over south Assam. The IMD has also asked fishermen not to venture into west-central Bay of Bengal till Wednesday, and along and off the Odisha coast and north Bay of Bengal during Monday-Wednesday. As per the IMD bulletin, it has also warned fishermen to avoid adjoining east Central Bay of Bengal from 23rd to 25th October; West Central Bay of Bengal till 24th October; North Bay of Bengal and along and off Odisha, West Bengal, Bangladesh and north Myanmar coasts during 23rd to 25th
