Delhi experienced a sudden change in weather on Saturday afternoon as a dust storm swept through the city, accompanied by cloudy skies. This change brought some relief to the city, which has been facing severe heatwave conditions for the past five days.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had earlier predicted that due to western disturbances, Delhi might experience a change in weather, including cloudy skies, a dust storm, or a thunderstorm with very light rain accompanied by gusty winds.
The residents of Delhi felt a subtle change in weather as cloudy skies and strong winds brought much-needed relief to the city. According to the weather department's forecast, Delhi is expected to witness generally cloudy skies, heatwave conditions, and the possibility of a dust storm or thunderstorm accompanied by very light rain and gusty winds throughout the day.
Earlier in the day, the humidity level recorded at 8.30 am was 27%. The maximum temperature in the city is anticipated to be around 43 degrees Celsius, as per the IMD.
In terms of air quality, Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) was in the 'poor' category, with a reading of 239 at 9 am, based on data from the Central Pollution Control Board. An AQI ranging from zero to 50 is considered 'good', 51 to 100 is 'satisfactory', 101 to 200 is 'moderate', 201 to 300 is 'poor', 301 to 400 is 'very poor', and 401 to 500 is classified as 'severe'.
