Social media was abuzz with concerns about Bachchan's well-being after various sources claimed he had undergone a medical procedure. However, a video capturing Bachchan's exit from the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane, where he attended the final Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) match between Majhi Mumbai and Tigers of Kolkata, put an end to these rumours.
In the viral video, a paparazzo approached Bachchan, inquiring about his health, to which he responded with a decisive «Fake news.» This statement contradicted earlier reports that suggested Bachchan had been admitted to Kokilaben Hospital for a medical intervention related to either a leg clot or a blocked artery.
The confusion stemmed from conflicting media reports, with some outlets asserting Bachchan's hospital visit was for routine checks, while others insisted it was for an angioplasty. Despite the widespread attention and concern from fans and public figures, including Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam, Bachchan's presence at the ISPL match with his son Abhishek Bachchan in Thane dispelled any notions of ill health.
Nirupam had tweeted on X, yesterday, saying, “Praying for Amitabh Bachchan’s speedy recovery. #AmitabhBachchan.”
