Disney’s Tangled Live-Action Remake: All you may want to know

Director

Michael Gracey is in talks to direct Disney's live-action Tangled. Gracey previously directed The Greatest Showman, a musical drama that gained global recognition. His latest project is Better Man, a semi-autobiographical film about musician Robbie Williams.

The screenplay for the live-action adaptation is written by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. Robinson's work includes Netflix's Do Revenge, Marvel's Thor: Love and Thunder, and the reboot of I Know What You Did Last Summer.

Tangled Success

The original Tangled movie tells the story of Rapunzel, a princess with magical hair, and her escape from a tower with the help of Flynn Rider. The animated film, released in 2010, earned $592 million globally. It features the Oscar-nominated song When Will My Life Begin. Spinoffs include a short film and a TV series.
