DJ Tiësto, Grammy winner has dropped out as the first in–game DJ of the Super Bowl because of a family emergency, as was announced by the musician on Friday.
On social media, DJ Tiësto has written that a personal family emergency is compelling him to return home on Sunday morning. It was a difficult decision to miss the game, however family always stands first.
It was reported by The Hollywood Reporter that the Dutch musician was about to be performing as the DJ of the Super Bowl in January. It was scheduled for him to be playing a set at the time of the players' warm-up in Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium, in addition to spin music during the featured breaks in the game, turning to be the first DJ to be performing during the Super Bowl.
Tiësto has said during that time that he is thrilled to be a member of the Super Bowl LVIII and it's even more amazing that it is his most favored place which is Las Vegas. He further expressed his gratitude to the NFL for having him and that he could not wait to party with everyone at the big game.
Tiësto announced this week that he and his team have been making preparations for something very special for several months and further thanked the NFL for «collaboration», noting that he was awaiting to work with them to deliver something unbelievable in the future.
