Trump landed at Dulles International Airport aboard a U.S. military C-32 aircraft, known as Special Air Mission 47, a nod to his status as the 47th President. He was joined by his wife Melania and their son Barron. The family traveled from their home in Florida to attend pre-inauguration festivities at Trump's golf club in Sterling, Virginia, located about 30 miles outside Washington.
At the golf club, Trump addressed a crowd of supporters, giving shoutouts to local politicians and dignitaries. He praised Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, and declared his Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff a «great negotiator» following recent peace negotiations between Israel and Hamas.
