These areas include the central Arabian Sea, Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and both the Westcentral and Northwest Bay of Bengal, according to India Meteorological Department. Recently, the Southwest Monsoon has moved deeper into the central Arabian Sea, covering additional parts of Lakshadweep, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu.

It has also advanced into parts of Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Andhra Pradesh, and various sections of the Bay of Bengal, including the Southwest, Central, and Northwest parts. The favorable conditions suggest continued advancement into more areas in the aforementioned regions within the next few days.

This year monsoon has advanced earlier than scheduled over parts of Karnataka. The onset of monsoon over Karnataka is around June 5-6.
