Why Elon Musk is not convinced with China's DeepSeek?
Due to DeepSeek, US chipmaker Nvidia saw its market capitalisation drop by over $500 billion on January 27, following the rise of low-cost Chinese generative AI model that could challenge US dominance in the rapidly growing tech industry. DeepSeek’s AI chatbot has reportedly demonstrated capabilities on par with leading US models—at a fraction of the investment made by American companies.
Despite all the hype and chatter about DeepSeek, Elon Musk suggested that the AI model may posses around 50,000 Nvidia Hopper GPUs, according to a TOI report.
