Anil Agarwal.
Taking to social media, the Chairman of Vedanta Group opened up about a passionate founder's journey. In his words, "Entrepreneurship can be a very lonely experience."
Recalling the time when he first moved to Mumbai in 1975, the businessman said that he faced a difficult time.
He said that he knew he had very little at the time, but was determined to make something big happen in his life.
The 69-year-old took a trip down memory lane and remembered all the people who helped him out significantly during that period.
From the street vendor who gave him to cup of hot tea on credit to the office boy at Syndicate Bank who guided him with business loans, Agarwal said he has come a long way due to immense help from many people.
«At the time, many people helped me, sometimes with their words, sometimes with their small actions — from a local chai vendor who gave tea on credit, to an office boy at Syndicate Bank who guided me when I needed a loan for my business,» he wrote in his post.
Agarwal said that these gestures and small efforts by people gave him the confidence to pursue his dream. «I am what I am because of these people who came forward to empower me,» he added.
Asking people to help future entrepreneurs, Agarwal said to empower the people in need.
«If you know someone who is on this journey, try to empower them in some way, big or small,» he concluded his post alongside an image of himself with a backdrop that said 'empowering'.
Like every other founder, Agarwal admitted that entrepreneurship can be a lonely experience.
