inflation within tolerable limits, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, said on Friday at ET Awards 2023.
«Inspite of Covid, and value chain disruptions, droughts, and floods, this government has been very focused on keeping inflation within tolerable limits,» she said.
While talking about the labour market, the FM added that it is going through a massive transformation with formalisation of the economy, including women participation in labour force.
“Systemic reforms in GST and IBC are done; now next generation of reform must happen both at Centre and states FRBM reform," she said.
«When I say next generation reforms, I actually mean in every sector, the next stage of reforms will have to be undertaken. But what's more important is reforms cannot stop just at the central government level,» she added.
'Reform must reach panchayat levels,” the FM added.
