August 2023 marked the 51st consecutive month of net inflows into ETFs and ETPs, bringing total assets to $10.7trn.
This brings total net inflows since the beginning of 2023 to $529bn, the third highest on record after $833.4bn in 2021 and $558.5bn in 2022, over the same period, the research and consultancy firm said.
Additionally, August 2023 marked the 51st consecutive month of net inflows into ETFs and ETPs, bringing total assets to $10.7trn. Since the end of 2022, total assets in global ETFs have risen by more than 15%, from $9.3trn in December 2022.

The biggest gatherers in August were equity ETFs, with net inflows of $37.22bn, followed by fixed income ETFs ($16.7bn) and active ETFs ($13.8bn).
Meanwhile, commodities ETFs experienced net outflows over the month of $2.8bn, bringing total net outflows for the year to date to $6.4bn.
The largest level of individual net inflows was recorded by the Huatai-Pinebridge CSI 300 ETF, which attracted $4.9bn; whereas the WisdomTree Energy Enhanced was the strategy with the highest net inflows among ETPs at $115.8m.
