It features a star-studded cast consisting of women including Naomi Watts, Calista Flockhart, Chloë Sevigny, and Diane Lane, marking the final character for Treat Williams, who died in a motorcycle accident when he was 71 years old. Williams is playing the role of the former CBS head and media mogul Bill Paley in Laurence Leamer's best-selling book: 'Capote's Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era's' adaptation.
The miniseries records the story of the popular wunderkind author Truman Capote as he runs through many of his female friends – whom he described as «swans» in the back by bringing out «La Côte Basque 1965», a roman à clef short story in Esquire in 1975.
The cast also involves Molly Ringwald, Demi Moore, Tom Hollander, and Ella Beatty. All eight episodes have been directed by Gus Van Sant and Jon Robin, serving as the showrunner has written them.
The two episodes of Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans premieres on Wednesday, January 31 at 10 pm ET/PT on FX, the following day on Hulu.
