According to Daily Beast, initially, Tesla CEO Elon Musk actually expressed his backing for House Speaker Mike Johnson, who faces a pretty critical vote that could cost him his position if he loses more than two Republican votes. However, at the same time, he quickly echoed the concerns which were raised by Republican Thomas Massie, who criticized Mike Johnson for collaborating with the Democrats on several issues like funding for Ukraine and government spending.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk's shift in stance actually highlights his unpredictable nature and adds more complexity to the already tumultuous dynamics within the Republican Party. Thomas Massie also announced that he would not support House Speaker Mike Johnson and with a pretty slim majority in the House, Mike Johnson cannot really afford many defections unless Democrats intervene which they are unlikely to do, asserted Daily Beast.
