Warner Brothers' DC Superhero film, 'The Flash,' is now available as an NFT (Non-Fungible Token). With immersive web3 experiences, the Flash NFTs will offer fans the opportunity to watch the movie in 4k Ultra HD and access exclusive content, artwork, and augmented reality experiences.
The NFTs come in two versions, the «mystery» edition priced at $35 with 10,000 copies, and the «premium» edition priced at $100 with only 2,000 copies available, Warner Brothers said in a statement. The Flash collectible release is the third in the Warner Bros Movieverse.
Fans will be able to resell their NFTs from 1 August 2023. «What we’re seeing happen is a perfect example of NFTs being novel asset classes.
Also not for the first time, recognised brands and names are used to unlock a range of new market opportunities, whilst giving its fans the opportunity to engage deeply with what they love, and benefit from it at the same time” says Andras Kristoff, CEO and Co-Founder of Singapore-based Galaxis, the platform behind many celebrity NFTs. “When we engage with big brand celebrities; the goal isn’t to create a collection that’ll just be bought and traded for profit.
It's to allow fans to develop deeper connections, own a membership card, utility card, NFT, whatever you want to call it, and unlock money-can’t-buy experiences with it. This is precisely what companies, brands, influencers and celebrities are trying to achieve with the technology,” Andras said.
