BJP and the NDA for 2024. All BJP leaders from PM Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah to the lower-level party workers, have been emphasising on this number during the campaigns. However, apart from the BJP, its allies will have to play a major role in delivering the numbers. Though seat-sharing is yet to be finalised in some states, the BJP allies are contesting on around 100 Lok Sabha seats across eight states and the northeast region.
The BJP has given 23 seats to its allies JDU, LJP(Ram Vilas), RLM and HAM in Bihar. In 2019, RLP and HAM were not the part of the alliance and the allies had delivered 22 of the 23 seats. The BJP allies have the challenge to repeat the numbers of 2019.
In neighbouring Uttar Pradesh, the BJP has upped its stake this time with the party contesting 75 seats and giving two seats each to the RLD and Apna Dal and one to SBSP. In Jharkhand, like in 2019, the party has given one seat to ally AJSU. None of the senior leaders have campaigned in the state yet.
In Andhra Pradesh, where the BJP couldn't win a single seat in 2019, the party is contesting six seats in alliance with TDP and Jana Sena. TDP and Jana Sena are contesting on 19 Lok Sabha seats. The BJP is not only hoping to open its account in the state but is also banking on the allies to improve the NDA tally. .
I n Karnataka, the party has given three seats to JDS — Kolar, Hasan and Mandya. BJP has allied with JDS with a hope to repeat its 2019 win of 25 seats. In Tamil Nadu, the party has allied with several smaller parties
