Advisor Credit Exchange have added two former UBS senior leaders as its new CEO and COO.
The tech platform that enables investment firms and advisors to access lending and cash management solutions was co-founded by Peter Stanton who has decided to step down as chief executive officer but will remain with the firm as a strategic advisor and will be involved in key client relationships and strategic alliances.
Succeeding Stanton is J.P. Connellan, who joins the firm from UBS along with Melanie Warner who is the new chief operating officer. Both held senior roles at UBS and helped establish the global asset manager’s Independent Advisor Solutions Team.
Envestnet is an investor in Advisor Credit Exchange and ACE’s technology also powers the Envestnet Credit Exchange. Rich Aneser, chief strategy officer at Envestnet says Connellan will be good for the business.
“J.P. has worked extensively with ACE’s board for the past year, demonstrating a profound understanding of ACE’s company dynamics and future opportunities,” said Rich Aneser, chief strategy officer at Envestnet. “His strategic vision and proven track record for driving business results are exactly what ACE needs to propel the company forward.”
Connellan and Warner also helped establish a strategic partnership between UBS and ACE to enable advisors using ACE’s platform to access UBS’s cash management solutions. The initiative will continue.
“I am inspired by the innovation that defines this organization,” said Connellan. “We look forward to expanding our strategic relationships, enhancing our consultative services, and taking ACE to the next level.”
ACE has also announced some other leadership appointments, all joining through UBS’ Independent Advisors Solutions.
