Gaurav Gupta, former co-founder, Zomato has launched his startup-Gabit. The healthtech startup focuses on the belief of interconnected living while offering personalised meal plans, fitness wearables, fitness plans, skincare products and heathcare products, all under one umbrella.
The startup raised a seed funding of $9.5 million last year from Northerst Venture Partners and angel investors including Amazon’s Amit Agarwal, Zomato’s Deepinder Goyal, Cars24’s Vikram Chopra and Kumal Shah-led QED Innovation Labs.
“We at Gabit are taking a holistic approach – combining the best of fitness, nutrition, sleep, mental wellness and skincare – towards health goals like weight management, staying fit, managing chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension, acne control, healthy ageing, and more. Our singular commitment to balancing this interconnectedness of health is what sets Gabit apart from the rest,” Gupta said in his blogpost.
Gabit is a one stop platform for all your health and wellness needs — providing high impact offerings in the form of skincare products, personalised plans around nutrition and fitness, fitness wearables, health tech products, nutrition products, and more, all backed by science and technology.
Gupta founded Gabit with his wife, Aparna Shahi. The startup is set to compete against Khosla Ventures and Unilever Ventures-backed Healthtify. Gabit has also launched a range of skincare products including moisturiser, serum, face wash and sunscreens.
Gupta joined food delivery company Zomato in 2015. He was elevated as the chief operating officer in 2018 and eventually being named as co-founder in 2019. In September 2021, two months after the company went public, Gupta resigned, ending his six-year long stint
