Gadar 2’, the sequel to the 2001 blockbuster ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’, can enjoy one of the biggest opening days of 2023! The advance booking figures of the Sunny Deol-Ameesha Patel starrer will leave you jaw-dropped! The movie has sold about 45,000 tickets for the opening day across three national chains PVR, Inox and Cinepolis, as per a Bollywood Hungama report. This already impressive figure can go further, up to over 2,00,000 ticket sales by Thursday (August 10). Going by the figures, the movie is expected to have an opening day figure of Rs 20-25 crore. If it does manage such a feat, ‘Gadar 2’ can be the highest first-day earner, just after ‘Pathaan’! Trade analyst Sumit Kadel said the movie's first day collections could be as high as Rs 30 crore! ‘Gadar 2’ will be receiving stiff competition from the Akshay Kumar-Pankaj Tripathi starrer ‘OMG 2’. The satirical comedy has sold only about 7,700 tickets for day one.
