GAIL shares gain 2.32% as Sensex rises
GAIL (India) Ltd. traded at Rs 224.85 on BSE at 10:50AM (IST) on Friday, up 2.32 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 103.2 and a high of Rs 233.0.
Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap up opening.
At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 14.61 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 15.06 per share and 1.55 times its book value, as per BSE data.
A total of 707,536 shares changed hands on the counter till 10:50AM (IST). The stock commands a market value of Rs 144652.19 crore and is part of the Gas Distribution industry.
The scrip has been an outperformer, up 114.45 per cent in the past one year in comparison with a 22.87 per cent gain in Sensex.
During the day, the stock moved between Rs 225.5 and Rs 219.45.
Promoter/FII Holding Promoters held 51.52 per cent in the company as of 31-Mar-2024. FII and MF ownership in GAIL (India) Ltd. stood at 14.07 per cent and 10.18 per cent, respectively.
