Garth Brooks has announced to launch of his second radio station under the Tailgate Radio brand. It will air programs related to both music and sports. The launch will coincide with the 2023 U.S. College football season. Though the proposed radio station will not air the games, it will air the pre-match and post-match entertainment programs for sports enthusiasts. Sports commentator and producer Maria Taylor will host the Tailgate Radio launch program.
Earlier, Garth Brooks launched Sevens Radio Network through the streaming platform Tuneln in June. Tailgate Radio will begin with a weekly countdown program ‘Tailgate Top 20 with Maria’. It will be hosted by Maria Taylor. It will highlight the 20 songs in a year across the genres. Besides, ‘Black Party’ will be another program which will be aired on Saturday nights. It will be a four-hour-long program featuring contemporary music from artists. The artists will range from Luke Combs to Beyonce to Eminem.
There will be another program called ‘Tailgate Takeover’. It will invite celebrities, artists, and athletes to be the guests and they will talk about the movies and songs that help them set their vibes.
When Garth Brooks launched Sevens Radio Network in June, he announced that it would offer seven stations. At the press conference of The Big 615, Brooke said that he would aim the global reach as it would allow to present the undiluted music to its audience across the world and across all genres.
