Geeta, who gained national attention when she returned to India from Pakistan in 2015, has cleared her Class 8 exams with good marks and is now aiming for a government job. The 33-year-old woman, who has speech and hearing disabilities, achieved a score of 411 out of 600 in the exams conducted by the Madhya Pradesh State Open School Education Board. She excelled particularly in social science and Sanskrit.

Geeta's Class 8 results are a significant milestone in her journey towards mainstream society. She has demonstrated commendable academic performance despite her disabilities. «Geeta is very excited about her exam result and is looking forward to her future with hope,» said Gyanendra Purohit, secretary of the Anand Service Society, an NGO based in Indore.
According to Purohit, Geeta expressed through sign language her desire to continue her education while pursuing a government job. «The minimum educational qualification for recruitment of Class IV employees of the central and state governments is 8th pass. Geeta is now eligible to apply for government jobs in this category,» Purohit explained.
Geeta, whose birth name is Radha, currently resides in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district of Maharashtra with her mother, Meena Pandhare. Her family is financially struggling, and Geeta hopes to secure employment
