As per reports, the girl's family ordered the cake online through Zomato on March 24th. The girl as well as several family members fell ill after eating the cake. Tragically, the girl passed away soon after.

Meanwhile, Zomato expressed its condolences and took swift action against the restaurant involved.
A company spokesperson stated, «We are deeply saddened by the recent incident in Patiala. We have immediately delisted the restaurant and barred the owner from operating on our platform. We are cooperating fully with law enforcement officials in their investigation.»
The girl's grandfather shared details of the order, noting discrepancies. «The cake was ordered online around 6 pm,» he recounted. «By 11 pm, everyone who had the cake fell ill. We lost our granddaughter, while the others thankfully recovered.»
Police have initiated an investigation based on the family's complaint, suspecting food poisoning. Concerns have been raised as the registered address for the bakery, «Cake Kanha,» did not match the actual location, hinting at a potential cloud kitchen setup.
