Glenn Maxwell has decided to postpone a potential surgery to remove pins from his previously shattered ankle. This decision is driven by his determination to chase his dual World Cup dreams, despite facing stiff competition for a spot in the national squad.

Glenn Maxwell is no stranger to the world of white-ball cricket. He has previously been part of Australia's victorious World Cup campaigns in both One-Day Internationals (ODIs) in 2015 and Twenty20 (T20) in 2021. His versatile skills with bat and ball have made him a valuable asset in limited-overs cricket.
However, the competition for spots in the upcoming World Cup squad is fierce, with players like Marnus Labuschagne, David Warner, Travis Head, and Josh Inglis all vying for positions.
Maxwell has been diligently working towards regaining full fitness. He aimed to be considered for the Test tour of India in February and March
