“It would cost me Rs 3,500 to go to and from a restaurant just 10km away. Unbelievable!” he ranted.
He compared the exploitative transport system that treats tourists as cash cows to the more affordable ones in countries such as Thailand and Indonesia, where travellers can book taxis at much lower rates.
Before concluding the video, the tourist stated that such steep travel costs discourages tourists to explore the place. “The more they travel, the more pictures and videos are captured and shared. Once such content gets viral, people get interested in traveling to such places,” he explained.
He concluded by saying that a private or affordable transport system in Goa is the need of the hour.
