This placement follows the airing of Godzilla (2014) and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) in the schedule.
HBO has a trend of airing movies on Saturday nights at 8 p.m. ET after they start streaming on Max earlier in the week. This pattern was seen with films like Barbie, The Flash, and The Nun II in 2023. When To Stream speculates that Boycott serves as a placeholder for Godzilla x Kong's debut. Notably, there is a gap in the schedule from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET following Boycott, which further supports this theory.
