Studio Ghibli's latest film, "The Boy and the Heron," is now available for home viewing in the US. The UK release date is pending confirmation.
In the US, «The Boy and the Heron» is available for purchase on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Vudu, Microsoft Store and iTunes. The HD version will cost $19.99, while the SD version will be $14.99. The film, based on Genzaburō Yoshino's novel «How Do You Live?,» follows a 10-year-old boy grieving his mother's death. He embarks on a magical adventure with a talking heron.

The digital version will be available from July 9. The physical edition of «The Boy and the Heron» includes various formats. Fans can buy the 4K UHD + Blu-ray, Blu-ray + DVD, and a Limited Edition Steelbook 4K + Blu-ray combo. Pre-orders are available from GKIDS and Shout Factory for the Blu-ray edition at $26.96 and the limited edition steelbook 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray for $34.95. These editions include bonus features like feature-length storyboards, a music video, and interviews with producer Toshio Suzuki and composer Joe Hisaishi.
