Pakistan spinners Noman Ali and Sajid Khan formed a brilliant partnership to destroy England to help Pakistan register a dominant nine-wicket win against England in the third Test, resulting in Pakistan clinching the series 2-1 last week.
Pakistan took control early, gaining a crucial 77-run first-innings lead on a pitch that offered spin for Day 1.
Ali (6-42) and Khan (4-69) spun a web around English batters and bowled them out for just 112 in the second innings, leaving Pakistan just 36 runs to chase for the series win.
The spin twins accounted for 19 of England's 20 wickets, with Pakistan’s lone seamer, Aamer Jamal, unused, which showed that the conditions favoured spinners. Since being drafted mid-series, the duo took 39 of England's 40 wickets in the last two Tests.
