Gujarat finance minister Kanu Desai presented the budget for the year 2025-26 in the assembly on Thursday with a total estimate of Rs 3,70,250.35 crore. The budgetary estimate for the current year exceeds the previous year’s by Rs. 37,785 crore over the previous year, which is about 11.3%.

Desai maintained that the Budget aims to push for inclusive growth and a sustainable development with focus on poor, youth, farmers and women power.
Out of the total Budget of Rs.3,70,250.35 crore Revenue Outlay stands at Rs. 2,36,044.27 crore while Capital Outlay is 1,34,206.08 crore.
Keeping any eye of the longterm growth of the state, the state Government has established «Gujarat Rajya Institution forTransformation (GRIT),» on the lines of NITI Aayog, aimed at formulating strategic scheme for various sectors considering long-term and short-term objectives of Viksit Gujarat 2047.
