Hades 2: Here’s what we know about release date, platforms, storyline, gameplay and trailer
Supergiant Games, the developers behind the roguelike Hades, have officially announced Hades 2, much to the delight of fans. Building upon the success of its predecessor, Hades 2 promises to deliver an even more engaging and immersive experience.
Release Date
While a final release date for Hades 2 has not been announced yet, early access is expected to begin «relatively soon» after the conclusion of the technical test. The technical test, which started on April 17, 2024, will end on Monday, April 29, after almost two weeks of testing with a select group of Steam users.
Platforms
Initially, Hades 2 will be available for early access exclusively on PC, with plans for a console version to follow. Early access will be accessible through both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Storyline
In Hades 2, players will assume the role of Melinoe, Princess of the Underworld and the sister of Zagreus, the protagonist of the first game. While Zagreus sought to escape the underworld, Melinoe's journey revolves around defeating Chronos, the Titan of Time. The game's storyline seems to revolve around Chronos capturing Hades, with players tasked with navigating through various levels to free their father.
Gameplay
