Aam Adami Party candidate from Gujarat's Bharuch seat for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections has expressed his gratitude to the party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, saying that the polls would hold a 'huge responsibility' for him.
«Today in the INDIA bloc, the AAP and Congress alliance has taken place. The declaration has been made that in Gujarat the Bharuch seat has been given to me. I am glad with that announcement. I express my gratitude to Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann and others for providing this huge responsibility,» Vasava said.
He further said that the party leaders of the state would set the strategy with Congress workers soon in view of the upcoming elections.
«Our motive is to oust BJP from the Bharuch constituency and for that, we will set the strategy with Congress workers soon...» he said.
However, the AAP Candidate may find it tough to get absolute support from the Congress cadre in Bharuch with ticket aspirant Faisal Patel voicing his displeasure at the arrangement. Faisal is the son of late Ahmed Patel who was an MP from Bharuch in 1977, 1980 and 1984. Since 1989 the BJP has held on to this seat.
