burglars targeted a residence in Khera Khurampur village, Farrukhnagar, in Haryana's Gurgaon district, making away with a significant sum of money and valuable jewellery worth approximately Rs 1 lakh. What sets this burglary apart is that the culprits also made off with something more irreplaceable: the educational certificates of the homeowner's daughter.
The victim, Pradeep Kumar, reported the incident to the Farrukhnagar police station two days after the alleged burglary took place, shedding light on the audacity of the thieves.
«It seems the thieves meticulously planned the robbery. In addition to Rs 3.5 lakh in cash, they absconded with two gold necklaces, two gold rings, two gold chains, seven gold bangles, three pairs of gold earrings, two sets of jewellery with gold earrings and chains, and a mangalsutra.
They also made off with six pairs of silver anklets,» Kumar explained to the police.
However, what truly left the family distraught was the theft of their daughter's essential documents. The burglars took away her 10th and 12th-grade mark sheets and her Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree certificate from SGT University.
The loss of these certificates has left the family grappling with an added layer of distress.
The burglary did not spare even the daughter's personal belongings. A small purse belonging to Pragati, the victim's daughter, was also stolen.
This purse contained her Aadhaar card, some cash, and cherished photographs.
Upon receiving the report of the burglary, the Farrukhnagar police sprang into action. A dedicated team, supported by forensic experts and fingerprint analysts, promptly arrived at the victim's residence to commence an investigation.
