Deven Choksey, MD, KRChoksey Holdings Pvt. Ltd, says “Suzlon will be systematically moving in a direction of higher growth.
Previously, a lack of policy affected them badly and as a result, the balance sheet suffered. Maybe that particular time is over and things are looking more promising.
Given the market situation, given the corrected strategy and the balance sheet side, I would think the company remains relatively more reassuring than ever before.”Hero MotoCorp has a joint venture now with Harley. Is it really going to mean competition and a tough one at that for Royal Enfield which has dominated for the last decade in this space?I do not know if it will immediately dent their market share because both Bajaj as well as Hero are trying to focus on the larger bikes, the higher CC bikes.
It appears to be the same strategy which Bajaj adopted 15 years back wherein they moved away from 100 CC and launched the 220, 150 CCs and focussed on that area. Now, today the name of the game is to focus on 250 CCs and above the category of engine where power is the given alternative for the customer.
In this case, if that scenario is emerging stronger because of the better road network that we are now having and better emergence of cities that we are now seeing, I would think that there is going to be an equal opportunity for every player to come up with the power bikes and that is where probably they would have relatively better time to come as far as the outlook is concerned and that particular segment is not the one which grows with numbers. They grow with smaller units but at the same time, the value that they bring in the balance sheet is significantly larger particularly in the form of revenue as well as in the form of profits.
