Revenue from operations during the period rose 8% to Rs 26,672 crore as against Rs 24,686 crore in the same period last year.
The board has declared an interim dividend of Rs 12 per equity share for the financial year 2023-24. The record date for the same has been fixed as October 20 and the payment will be on October 31.
Both profit and revenue were above the estimates.
An ET Now poll saw the profit figure around Rs 3,685 crore and revenue at Rs 26660 crore.
In constant currency terms, revenue was up 1% sequentially and 3% year-on-year. Segment wise, services revenue rose 3% (CC), while digital revenue was up 4%.
The company has reported an EBIT of Rs 4,934 crore in the second quarter, up 11% year-on-year.
In the second quarter, HCL Tech won 16 large deals — 10 in services and 6 in software — across diverse industries such as life sciences, healthcare, public services and others.
