The round also saw participation from Campus Fund which invests in startups run by students, as well as founders like Traya cofounder Altaf Saiyed and Better Capital founder Vaibhav Domkundwar, among others.
The funds will be used to enhance the platform and expand its services and reach. Additionally, it will invest in clinical trials, development of tech-enabled treatment protocols, and awareness campaigns.
“In small towns, we saw that the people solving these problems were often quacks. People simply weren’t going to doctors for these issues…And when we looked deeper into it, we realized that people avoided doctors or pharmacies because these professionals were from their own vicinity. Unlike in metro cities like Delhi or Bangalore, people in smaller towns know each other,” cofounder and chief executive Akash Kumar told ET while highlighting that the platform is focused on ensuring confidentiality.
