An eye stroke occurs when the arteries supplying blood to the retina become blocked. The retina, a sensitive part of the eye that converts light signals into visual impulses, loses its function due to this blockage, potentially leading to partial or total blindness.

If this fluid loss is not compensated by drinking enough fluids, the blood thickens, impeding its flow and increasing the risk of eye strokes.
