The 28-year-old Republic of Ireland international, who joined Aberdeen in August 2023, is capable of playing both centrally and out wide. During his time at Pittodrie, he has scored 16 goals in 75 appearances, according to a report by the BBC.
McGrath was a key player under manager Jimmy Thelin earlier this season but suffered a shoulder injury in January. As a result, he has missed Aberdeen’s last five matchday squads, and the club have confirmed he will remain out for the rest of the season.
Hibernian head coach David Gray expressed his excitement over the signing, praising McGrath’s creativity and experience. Gray told BBC that they were delighted to have agreed a pre-contract with Jamie.
