Indian metrological Department (IMD) has issued red alert for the state. The weather department has also said that very heavy rainfall activity is likely to reduce from tomorrow, Tuesday. The torrential rains are likely to reduce in pace for the next three days.
“Similar kind or a little lower intensity rain is likely to continue...today, heavy rain expected in eastern Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh and south Rajasthan...", said Soma Sen, Scientist, IMD Delhi Mandi SSP Soumya Sambasivan has said, "There is a state of complete disaster in Mandi district. Many buildings, bridges and parking lots have been washed away. Our local teams and SHOs have done good work in evacuating citizens".
Several visuals emerged of water gushing through spaces causing mayhem.
