According to the Gaza health ministry, about 47,000 Palestinians have died as a result of Israel's attack on Gaza. Many of those affected have had to relocate many times as Israel declared portions of Gaza humanitarian zones and then cleansed them before conducting operations there. Since the conflict started on October 7, 2023, when the Palestinian militant group Hamas launched a terrorist attack on Israel, killing 1,200 people and capturing 251, local health experts say that Israeli bombings have killed almost 47,000 people.
A massive and restless crowd began out north along Gaza's beachfront route before the sun rose, heralding a cold dawn. Many people brought enormous white plastic bags and suitcases, while others had little children, stated NBC News.
According to witnesses, the first inhabitants arrived in Gaza City early this morning, just after the first crossing point in central Gaza opened at 7:00 a.m. (0500 GMT), stated Reuters. About three hours later, another crossing opened, allowing vehicles to enter.
