House of David Season 2: What we know about Amazon Prime Video show’s renewal
Amazon Prime Video has confirmed that House of David will return for a second season. The decision comes before the Season 1 finale on April 3. The series attracted 22 million viewers in its first 17 days.
The series tells the story of David, played by Michael Iskander. David is an outcast teenager who is chosen as the new king by the prophet Samuel, portrayed by Stephen Lang. The current king, Saul, played by Ali Suliman, struggles with his pride and begins to lose control.

Season 2 Plot
The second season will focus on David’s journey after his battle with Goliath, played by Martyn Ford. He will face palace politics, jealousy from his family and a developing romance. The show will continue to depict his path to becoming king.

Jon Erwin created the series and serves as writer, director and executive producer. He works with Jon Gunn under the Wonder Project banner. Other executive producers include Justin Rosenblatt, Trey Callaway, Michael Frislev, Chad Oakes, Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris. Rosenblatt also oversees production for Wonder Project. Dallas Jenkins is a shareholder and special advisor.
